The Challenge: Sometimes, we believe our lives are overwhelming and complicated.


The Remedy: Simplify your life by practising presence and gratitude. Rediscover inner peace and joy.


Let's begin with a simple question:

Would you build a house without securing a foundation?


The unanimous answer would be "definitely not" because you'd know the house would begin to buckle under the pressure as it lacked the necessary support.


Apply this perspective to human beings. We're often expected to prioritise superficial, self-identifiable labels such as gender, age, home address, job title, social status, etc. As a result, our inherent selves are de-prioritised (hidden), explaining our sometimes inauthentic actions.

Can we honestly say that our daily priorities are in order?

Be secure with who you are

This is the age-old, 'Who am I?' question.


This profound question continues to stump many of us when attempting to form an answer.


Discover what makes you tick:

  1. What has helped shape you into who you are today?

  2. Process and apply life's lessons.

  3. Would you ever compromise?

  4. How would you define a complementary romantic, career, or other relationship?


Understand your core values

Self-Love, Self-Awareness, Self-Worth, Who am I?

Identify and reinforce your values to enhance your regular grounding practices:

  1. Are you kind, joyful, patient, understanding, honest, resilient, resourceful, respectful, humble, compassionate, empathetic, etc?

  2. Release that which no longer serves such as pride and/or pettiness. Choose forgiveness instead.


Establish your Support Framework

Self-Love, Self-Awareness, Self-Worth, Support, Toolset, Lifeline

Familiarise yourself with your adulthood toolset, also known as 'your lifeline'.


Turn to this custom toolset to help process and heal from past hurtful experiences and work to maintain peace within.


The only certainty in life is that there'll be constant and sometimes unexpected ups and downs, beyond our control.


It's about how we choose to overcome these challenges that will continue to shape and strengthen who we are at our core.


Aim to be in control of your emotions.

  1. When mistakes happen, and they will, don't be too hard on yourself.

  2. Show yourself compassion, you're human, after all.


Rinse and Repeat

  1. Mindfulness practices are an ongoing and required part of life. While it's easy to get lost in unhealthy distractions, love yourself enough to ensure you remain a priority in your life.
